about

This was one of the last tracks that I wrote and recorded in Rancho Deluxe, Willesden Green, before finding my first loft apartment (dream home!) in funky Harlesden in August 2009.

lyrics

Everybody knows when they are up against the wall,
but no-one's gonna show them they're waiting for the fall.

Waiting for the fall - when summer turns to rain,
you thought you'd seen it all, having lived through so much pain.

All that talking and walking tall, knowing someone knew your name,
then the world became so small, and the bigger picture came like a waterfall.

A wake-up call yeah ...

Waiting for the call. Waiting for the fall

Ooh hoo waiting for the fall.
Waiting for the fall, like a wake-up call, dancin' in the shadows...
Waiting for the fall
Waiting for the call. Waiting for the fall.

Waiting for the fall, when summer turns to rain,
you thought you'd seen it all, having lived through so much pain.

All that talking and walking tall, knowing someone knew your name,
then the world became so small and the bigger picture came like a cannonball....yeah,

Waiting for, waiting for, waiting for the call... waiting for the fall.
