This is weird. I have absolutely NO recall of when, where, who or what on this one! I don't even know how it got onto my computer! Listening to this quirky track, it sounds like the track was made on my Korg T2 in the early 90s and then the vocals were added in a studio. I simply don't remember who was playing bass (nice) or doing the female backing vocal (nice). It's strangely catchy too. Kind-of prog jazz-funk perchance?
lyrics
Sad In Your Shadow
Walk away from the one you love, you say it's too intense,
caught-up by the spider, who's spinning wider and wider,
keep on dancing and smiling, dancing and smiling;
pretend there's nothing wrong. Pretend there's nothing wrong. Pretend there's nothing wrong.
Sad in your shadow.
Walk away from one you hurt and flirt with all his friends,
keep sending out the feelers to the fools and double-dealers, keep on dancing and smiling, dancing and smiling; pretend there's nothing wrong. Pretend there's nothing wrong. Pretend there's nothing wrong.
Sad in your shadow. Leaving me sad in your shadow, then you just walk away, nothin' to say, treat me so bad, leaving me sad... leaving me.
Sad in your shadow.

Loved Bridget with Hawkwind and Spirits Burning. This is an enthusiastic collection of songs with great performances and melodic and lyrical detail to fascinate.
